Happy Valentine's Day

Here is a picture of the bay bay in her Valentine's outfit that I made for her. It's not a great picture of her, but I was having to pull her fingers out of her mouth really quick, then try to shoot the picture before she put them back in her mouth...anyway you get the idea. All in all it was a fun Valentine's day for her. She got a very soft little teddy bear with a pink bow and some church panties with lace and her initials. We also found out that Monday she will be moving up to the next room at daycare. We will miss our teachers so much! But this room is much better suited for crawling and pulling up...her two favorite things! They also have structured nap times (yay). She is almost completely on table foods now. Her favorites?...cheese and cheerios. This sweet baby girl is growing up before my eyes and I can't believe how much she can do now. Dr. Smith said she will definitely keep her beautiful blue eyes...still don't know where those came from but we're not complainin'!

lovin' bath time

Lucy Neal can be in the worst mood ever but put her in the tub and the following two things happen: her face lights up and she starts kicking as hard as she can. It is so much fun watching her take her bath. There is no such thing as being still anymore. It's more like chasing her around the tub the whole time, washing what parts you can when you can get to them, and trying not to let her stand up. It's quite an adventure, but one I wouldn't trade for anything (except maybe a nice bubble bath of my own :)

9 months old!

Today is Lucy Neal's 9 month birthday...I can't believe it! It's moving way too fast. We had a fun day with her. We went to have her 9 month pictures done, went to the mall and had her first kids meal (Chick Fil A nuggets and fruit), and then went to the park. She seemed to enjoy the day. Her newest tricks include crawling all over the place and pulling up. She stands up in her bed in the morning and she can take a few assisted steps. She also says mama, daddy, and kicat (kitty cat). She still doesn't have any teeth, but can somehow mangage to eat an insane amount of Cheerios. We have been taking swimming lessons and she loves it! She has gone under water a few times and she handles it like a champ! Here are a few pictures of the activities from today (along with a few of some of her latest activities).

playdate with mollie

Sunday we had a playdate with Mollie, Lucy Neal's best friend from daycare. Her mom, Mary, works at daycare and we became fast friends. We figured out the first day that they were born only 2 hours apart, so Mary calls them the twins! Hilarious because they look so different. Mollie is a really funny kid, so Mary and I have decided she will be the class clown. The baby's didn't really "play" with each other, just crawled all over each other and sometimes stole toys. Mary is already expecting another...she is so brave! Mollie will be only 13 months older than her brother or sister. We have had so much fun watching these girls grow up together and they really do love each other.

She finally did it!

After many, many months of practice she finally crawled! For a while now Lucy Neal has been scooting along the floor on her belly, but this morning when it was just the 2 of us playing she got on her hands and knees and went for 3 steps! She has also gotten really good at pulling up. Here are a few pics of her in action, along with a few of her in the snow (forgive me I was by myself trying to take pictures of her).

We're back!

Well, finally after a busy holiday season I am able to sit down and collect my thoughts long enough to write a few things about the little one. After her 6 month birthday, things have just seemed to fly. On her 7 month birthday she sat up...unassisted! She has yet to crawl or get teeth but is working hard on both. She has a precious new scrunched up face that she does (for those of you that know Wynn Brown it's kind of like his). Today is her 8 month birthday and tomorrow we start swimming lessons.

Here are a few of her favorite things:

1.scooting along the floor on her blanket
2.the remote, my cell phone
3.bath time
4.clifford the big red dog
5.prunes!?
6.her teachers at daycare (ms. vicky, ms. mary, ms. mary, ms. anjani)
7.baby tad
8.being outside
9.the cat and dog
10.the exersaucer.
11.tags(it doesn't matter what the toy is, she chews on the tag)

Here are some pics from the past few months including some of her 1st Christmas. By the way the 3 biggest hits were Tad, Elmo, and the highchair.

so many new things!

She has learned so much over the past few days. It seems like this weekend was a big turning point for her. She finally got her toes in her mouth...she has been working on that for quite some time. She also discovered her voice and started screaming. She also started blowing raspberries this weekend, which she did to a lady at Mistletoe Marketplace who told her she was beautiful. What a little lady!

Fun with Gin & Paw Paw

We have been spending alot of time with my parents lately. They absolutely adore her! Mom even came to Jackson to stay with her for 2 days for her first ear infection. We are so thankful that they live close enough to do things like that.

We didn't go trick or treating this year, but had plenty of them come to our house. It was fun and everyone thought she was very cute. She wasn't really up to being a ladybug at first, but she adjusted.

Beach Babe

We went to Florida in July with Gin, Paw Paw and Uncle Charles. Lucy Neal got to experience her first vacation. She did really well, and even went to the beach for a little while.

Uncle Charles

Charles loves his new niece. We knew he would be excited to be an uncle, but never imagined he would be so in love with her! He has given up weekends with friends, and sometimes golf to spend time with her. It is too sweet!

Ok, I'm tired of my bouncy seat.

Please feel sorry for me & get me out!

I need my beauty sleep!

Belle is worn out after getting up all night with the baby!

Big Sister

Belle loves her new little sister. At first we weren't sure how she would react, but she has been great. Ever since we brought her home, Belle has been very attentive and helpful. She used to come and get us when Lucy Neal was crying. Very surprising considering Belle's demeanor (spoiled, fickle, and set in her ways). She has been an only child for 3 years.

One of the few pictures you will see of me with the bay bay. It's funny how I'm her mother, yet have the fewest pictures with her!

Uncle Brandon

Lucy Neal met her Uncle Brandon for the first time this summer. It was love at first sight! He thought she was beautiful and wanted to hold her immediately. She enjoyed the view from up high (Uncle Brandon is very tall)!

Nap Time with Daddy

This picture reminds me of that scene in Forrest Gump when he and little Forrest are sitting on the floor watching tv. I love it! I can't believe they were in the exact same position...what a perfect picture.

1st time in the Bumbo

We are giving the Bumbo seat a test drive before we take it home. Thanks for letting us use it cousin Wynn!

Night Night Time

This is how she likes to sleep now. When we put her down, she rolls onto her side and puts her thumb in her mouth and her other hand over her eyes. So cute!

Lucy Neal with Aunt Flo

Bath Time

Bath time is so much fun! She loves to kick and splash in the water. Our favorite is taking a bath together so I can play with her, hence no pictures of bath time!

All Cried Out

She finally wore herself out after crying all afternoon. We think she had a stomach bug, one of the disadvantages of day care! She went through 2 outfits at day care and then the third as soon as we got out to the parking lot-what a mess! I felt so bad for her.

This bouncy seat looks good!

On Monday, Wynn Brown came over to play. We had so much fun with him, but quickly realized he doesn't like to be held for long!

Lucy Neal and Daddy

We both had a few days off this week and got to spend them with her. It was so much fun!
This morning I turned around and Lucy Neal was sitting like this, patiently awaiting her breakfast. She looks so big in this picture! I feel like she will be sitting up soon by herself.
